Instructions for Custom Orders
We want everyone to find the perfect bit for their horse, that's why we offer custom-made bits according to your specific needs. Please note that this is a new idea that we're testing out. If everything works smoothly, we hope to continue with this concept.
Custom Order Information
All the prices are based on the material and choice of sidepiece. Handling fees for special orders will be added and do include shipping.
Special order fees: $25
The delivery time is approximately 3 months from the end of the period for special orders. Please note, in case of unforeseeable events, we have the right to extend the delivery time up to 6 months.
As the custom bits are specially made for you, we do not offer any exchanges or returns of custom bits. After your order is made you cannot cancel it, and all special orders are pre-paid with a stripe link (card payments).
How to custom order your dream-bit To order a custom-made bit you have to decide how you want to design it:
Sidepiece: You can choose between all the different sidepieces that we offer on our bits. See the list of sidepieces and prices further down.
Mouthpiece: You can choose between all the different mouthpieces that we offer on our bits. You can find all of our mouthpieces here (LINK).
Material: Choose between titanium, stainless steel, or sweet iron.
Color of the mouthpiece: We offer different colors of the mouthpieces, see the list below.
Size and thickness: You can choose which size and thickness you want. For example, you can choose a 16.5cm bit with a thickness of 16mm or a 6.5cm bit with a thickness of 10mm even if it's nothing we offer in our standard range. Please notice that we allow a 3mm margin of error as all bits are handmade.
Before we start making your bit, we will send out a confirmation that you will sign to make sure that everything is just how you want it.

If you want to order a model that we already have in our range but in a size or thickness that we don't manufacture, it will count as a special order as well. For example, if you want to order a weymouth we have but in 16mm thickness instead of the existing thickness. Do you want to order a sidepiece or mouthpiece that we don't have in our range? Send us an email and we will have a look at it!
Choose mouthpiece
You can choose between all the different mouthpieces that we offer on our bits. You can choose which size and thickness you want. For example, you can choose a 16.5cm bit with a thickness of 16mm or a 6.5cm bit with a thickness of 10mm even if it's nothing we offer in our standard range. When you choose size, please write in centimeters or millimeters to make it more exact. Please notice that we allow a 3mm margin of error as all bits are handmade.
After choosing the shape, size and thickness of the mouthpiece, it's time to choose material and color.
How to measure the size and thickness
A: This is where the thickness is measured. For some models, the bit will get thinner in the middle, like the bit in the photo. If you look at the model of the mouthpiece you've chosen, you will see if it has the same thickness throughout the whole bit or gets thinner in the middle.
B: This is where the length of the bit is measured. It will always be measured on the inside of the rings/fullcheek/baucher sidepiece for example.
